As all 50 states roll out RHTP, the Partnership to Empower Physician-Led Care is seeing some really interesting ways states are using both policy and program design to better support independent and physician-led practices in rural communities.
A few themes keep popping up across state applications:
• More investment at the practice level—especially in workforce, tech, and care delivery
• New ways for independent practices to get involved in value-based care
• Policy changes that make it easier to expand access (like more flexible licensure and stronger Medicaid telehealth coverage)
