PEPC Submits Statement for the Record for the Energy & Commerce Hearing on MACRA

On June 22, the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations held a hearing on the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 (MACRA), “MACRA Checkup: Assessing Implementation and Challenges that Remain for Patients and Doctors.”  

PEPC submitted a statement for the record, urging Congress to consider how to leverage and encourage more physician-led models. In our comments, PEPC emphasized the role of physicians and physician-led practices in leading delivery system transformation initiatives and highlighted the clear evidence that physician-led models have generated superior results compared to other models.
