The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) recently released a Request for Information (RFI) seeking input from the public regarding various aspects of the Medicare program, including Medicare Advantage and value-based care.
PEPC applauds CMS’ efforts to ensure the Medicare program provides equitable, high quality, and whole-person care that is affordable and sustainable, and believes that adoption of value-based care models is critical to realizing this collective vision. Our response focuses on the role of independent physicians and practices in providing high-value care to Medicare beneficiaries across the country through value-based care models, and provides feedback on steps CMS can take to support and promote this care.
