PEPC was pleased to comment on the the House Budget Committee Health Care Task Force request for information (RFI) on solutions to improve patient outcomes and reduce health care spending.
In our comments, we provide feedback on specific policy solutions the Task Force can consider to improve outcomes while lowering health care spending, through promoting competition, value-based care, and supporting the independent physician workforce. This includes reform to the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA), ensuring adequate physician payment, and prioritizing physician-led alternative payment models (APMs).
